Triptii Dimri on exploring comedy with 'Bad Newz': "Vicky Kaushal & Ammy made it both difficult & enriching"

Triptii Dimri has become a prominent name in Bollywood, especially after her standout performance alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's action-thriller, "Animal." Now, she's gearing up to captivate audiences again, this time stepping into the comedy genre with her upcoming film, "Bad Newz."

Dimri has been on a promotional spree for "Bad Newz," which also stars the talented Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. The actress has been candid about her experiences working on a comedy film, admitting in recent interviews that she found the genre particularly challenging. Known for her roles in intense dramas like "Bulbbul" and "Qala," Triptii revealed that comedy pushed her out of her comfort zone. Her courage to step into a new genre, despite the challenges, is truly inspiring. "I believe it's crucial for an actor to continually challenge themselves and try different genres," she shared.

While discussing her new project, Dimri expressed her gratitude to director Anand Tiwari for believing in her comedic potential. She acknowledged that working alongside actors like Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, who have impeccable comic timing, made the experience both difficult and enriching. "It was a steep learning curve, but ultimately a rewarding one," she said.

Despite finding comedy tough, Triptii Dimri is eager to explore various genres in her career. She conveyed her excitement about taking on diverse roles, from action to drama to comedy. "I want to try everything that's offered to me," she stated, underscoring her ambition and versatility as an actress.

"Bad Newz" is set to release soon, and the team is confident it will leave audiences in splits. The film's unique blend of humor and drama is eagerly anticipated by fans and critics alike, creating a buzz of excitement for its release.

Looking ahead, Triptii has an exciting lineup of projects. Post "Bad Newz," she will be seen in "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Additionally, she has "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video" alongside Rajkummar Rao and Shazia Iqbal’s "Dhadak 2," where she will star opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi. Dimri is also in talks to star opposite Kartik Aaryan for yet another romantic film.
