Triptii Dimri recently shared insights into her experience working on the films Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, revealing that she had actually signed both projects before her critically acclaimed film Animal hit the screens. In a candid interview, Triptii discussed her journey from feeling uncertain in front of her talented co-stars, Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao, to adapting to the demands of comedy, which she found more challenging than her usual dramatic roles.
Talking about her initial nervousness on set, Triptii admitted she was quite anxious during the early days of shooting, especially while working with actors like Vicky and Rajkummar, who she described as effortlessly talented. On the set of Bad Newz, she particularly struggled to ease into her role. “For the first few days, I was frozen,” she revealed talking to 'The Hollywood Reporter', sharing that filming a dance sequence with Vicky Kaushal left her awestruck. His natural charisma and impressive dancing skills made her feel nervous, and it took her almost a week to feel comfortable around him and the rest of the crew.
The transition into comedy, something new for Triptii, wasn’t easy. Reflecting on her experience filming Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, she recalled feeling completely out of her depth initially. “It was a full-on comedy, and acting alongside someone like Rajkummar Rao, who can nail monologues flawlessly, was intimidating,” she said. Comedy, for Triptii, required constant alertness, a far cry from the more paced-out process of drama. Despite these challenges, she eventually found her rhythm and began to enjoy the learning process on set.
As Triptii continues to evolve as an actor, she is excited about her upcoming projects. After the release of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on October 11, fans can look forward to seeing her in the highly anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan, set for a Diwali release.
