Tishaa Kumar last rites: Riteish Deshmukh, Farah Khan, Bhushan Kumar & others arrive amid heavy rains

The Bollywood community gathered to bid farewell to Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar and Tanya Singh, who passed away after a prolonged illness. Despite the heavy rains and waterlogging in Mumbai, numerous celebrities attended the last rites to pay their respects. Tishaa, born on September 6, 2003, was the cousin of Bhushan Kumar and granddaughter of renowned composer Ajit Singh.

Close family members attended the funeral, including Tishaa's father, Krishan Kumar, mother, Tanya Singh, Bhushan Kumar, and his wife, Divya Khosla Kumar. Actress Saiee Manjrekar, actors Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaaferi, and singers Tulsi Kumar and Khushali Kumar also paid their respects, demonstrating the unwavering support and unity within the Bollywood fraternity during this difficult time.

Tishaa Kumar's passing has deeply affected her family. An official statement released by the Kumar family read, "Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged battle with an illness. This is a difficult time for the family, and we kindly request that the family's privacy is respected." The statement highlights the family's request for privacy during this period of immense sorrow.

Tishaa's most recent public appearance was in November 2023 at the premiere of the film "Animal," directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Bobby Deol. According to a reports, Tishaa was diagnosed with cancer and the family took her to Germany for treatment, where she passed away on Thursday.

Krishan Kumar, Tishaa's father, is known for his role in the 1995 film "Bewafa Sanam." He is also the co-owner of T-Series, alongside his nephew Bhushan Kumar. After an unsuccessful acting career in the 1990s and the tragic passing of his brother Gulshan Kumar in 1997, Krishan Kumar took over the management of T-Series until Bhushan was old enough to take charge. Together, they have produced numerous hit films. 

Tishaa's death has left a significant void in her family's life, who are now enduring a profoundly challenging period. The Bollywood community's presence at her last rites is a testament to the strong bonds and support within the industry.
