Actor Tiger Shroff’s recent visit to Mumbai’s Babulnath Temple has sparked a social media spat after a troll accused him of using the occasion for publicity. His mother, Ayesha Shroff, stepped in to defend her son and responded sharply to the criticism.
Tiger, who visited the temple a few days after the release of Baaghi 4, was photographed by paparazzi while seeking blessings. The pictures soon surfaced online, where an Instagram user alleged that the visit was nothing more than a public relations move. The user further commented on Tiger’s outfit, saying it was inappropriate for a temple as he kept his chest exposed. He also claimed Tiger showed no genuine interest in prayer and carried an “attitude” instead.
Ayesha Shroff Responds
The comments did not go unnoticed. Ayesha Shroff, known for being protective of her children, hit back in the comments section of the post. She wrote, “Attitude toh you are throwing! You don’t know my son so shut up!” Her firm response quickly drew attention from fans who supported her stance, while others reignited the debate over celebrity behaviour in religious places.

The user also dragged the nepotism debate into the criticism, claiming “nepo kids” like Tiger allegedly call photographers even for personal moments such as temple visits, turning them into staged photo opportunities. Such remarks have become a common thread in conversations around Bollywood celebrities, especially star children.
Tiger Shroff, son of Ayesha and veteran actor Jackie Shroff, made his debut with Heropanti in 2014. He went on to cement his reputation in action-driven films like Baaghi, Baaghi 2, and War 2. His latest release, Baaghi 4, directed by A Harsha, crossed ?50 crore in its first week at the Indian box office.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, and marks the debut of former Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film received mixed reactions, with many viewers criticising its high dose of violence and drawing parallels with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
For now, Tiger’s temple visit has shifted some focus away from the film’s performance, sparking yet another discussion on the thin line between celebrity faith and publicity.
