With the recent development in SAB TV's popular show F.I.R, which had Kavita Kaushik coming back to the show again in her much admired character Chandramukhi, Chitrashi was asked to quit the show.
The level headed actress will soon be seen as a main lead in an upcoming movie. In a candid chat with TellyBuzz, shared about her experience and journey of being a part of F.I.R.
How has been your journey in the serial F.I.R.?
My journey as Jwalamukhi was splendid for as long as it lasted. I enjoyed every bit of it. From crazy action sequences to changing into different avatars, to mad dancing moments. I used to have mad fun on the sets of FIR. We shared not only our food but our thoughts as well. Learning all the lingo of Haryanvi language was challenging yet fun. For all I know, it was a nice learning experience for me.
How was your equation with your co-stars and the production house? With whom did you closely bond on the set?
It was pretty smooth actually. As I said earlier, it used to be so much fun on our set. Basically, right from all my co actors to the crew members everyone was pretty sorted in their head. There was no place for ego clashes and insecurities. It was a happy atmosphere on the sets. The good thing about our producers was they never interfered in our work. They hardly used to come on the sets. About the bonding, I would say I got connected with everybody on an individual level but my maximum interaction was with my director, of course for obvious reasons. He was the one who guided me through out.
How was it working with senior actors like Gopi Bhalla and Suresh Chatwal? What did you learn from them?
It was an amazing experience to work with both of them. The two of them are so different from each other. Gopiji is a real sweetheart. He loved and appreciated me so much. He's actually very funny just like his character in the show. I used to have a gala time laughing so much with him. Also, I used to tease him, which I still do (Laughs). It was fun working with him. Whereas, Sureshji is a serious kind of a person, who is very professional towards his work. He would hardly laugh during the scene and we all wouldn't stop laughing. It used to really piss him off sometimes. Once he scolded me only for laughing and giggling but I was required to do that and he had no idea, so later he apologised too. It was fun… the more he would tell us not to laugh during the take the more we would crack up (Laughs).
What was your take when you came to know that your role as Jwalamukhi is going be wrapped up?
Well, actually I had no idea about it, as it all happened so quickly. Mrs. Kohli called me and I signed my termination letter & walked away with my dignity. I didn't ask many questions because I knew there was no point putting my energy into it. The decisions were made and I had to accept it. We did have a good chat though. However, later after sleeping over it, I felt only one thing - three months are not enough to wash away seven years of glory.
We have seen you doing amazingly well in Chak De India and F.I.R, but both the pivotal characters were quite similar. They were of sort of tomboyish, do you wish to take up a more feminine character?
I've done few feminine characters as well, but unfortunately that film didn't work too much. Definitely, I would like to do all kind of roles, who wouldn't for that matter. Given a chance to portray something different is always fun. I would really like to explore myself more as an actor. I am not just talking about feminine roles, but interesting and different ones.

The party was organized by my FIR writer Amit Aryan and his beautiful wife Jas Aryan. I really appreciate their efforts. It was so much fun. He had arranged a nice audio visual clip of mine from FIR. The party was in my honor, so everybody made me feel very special. Whoever was present at the party delivered a nice speech for me and sang as well. I think that was really sweet. Not just that, I also got a nice gift from the host. The party was exciting, funny yet emotional. And it was followed by a nice karaoke session. I'm so thankful to all my team mates for giving me such a warm welcome earlier & now an equally touching farewell. Kavita couldn't join us, but she did message though.
Have you shot together with Kavita for any sequence?
No, I haven't shot any sequence with Kavita!
If given an opportunity to re-enter F.I.R, will you? And Why?
Tricky question! I don't think it'll be necessary. And if at all the circumstances are such I highly doubt that I would re-enter the show. Even though one should not say ever but I'll take my chances here. I had a lovely ride with FIR but I can't be riding again on the same pitch. I've moved on for good. My aspirations in life are way different. Work will come and go, and I'm looking for something really extraordinary. Till I find it I am not going to stop at one place. I've to continue moving and keep up with my journey of evolution. I can't start a new chapter if I keep reading the last one. As they say "There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind."
What's next on your list? A break or vacation?
It's a long list. But before that all I want to do is go into the woods on an adventure. I need to be closer to the nature and that dose has been missing. But even before that, I need to visit my hometown Uttarakhand. The recent catastrophe has affected me deeply.
What are your future plans? Can you share something about your upcoming movie?
My next film is called BlackHome. It's about remand home girls, their day to day struggle in a remand home and the journey to escape from there. And I am playing the main girl.
We at TellyBuzz wish Chitrashi all the good luck for her future endeavors!

While it's nice to see CC back, I feel bad for Chitrashi that she was given the let go so easily.
