Manit Joura, who is currently seen as Yug Kohli in Prateek Sharma’s Pyar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan, says the story and characters are the two important wheels of a show. He feels it will be difficult to run a show if both don’t complement each other.

He said, “The USP of any show is the story and the characters, and they are the two wheels of entertainment, and both have to complement each other.”

The actor also feels that it is very important to create relatable characters, especially in TV, because it has different types of audiences. He further said, “The two and three-tier cities only have access to real characters. When the audience starts feeling that this character is one of us and they have lived such a life, they can relate to it. As actors, we should focus on making it authentic, real, and relatable. Till now, audiences have loved the characters because of their authenticity and relatability. My character in Kundali Bhagya was relatable, as they thought brothers loved and fought this way, and this is how the sons are. So the relatability factor is very important when you connect with your character and the audience as well.”

“At the end of the day, all stories are the same, the difference is in the characters and how differently they are going to react to the same situation. Sometimes in a show, we come across similar situations many times, but how differently you react to those situations each time is going to make that scene interesting and fresh for the audience to like. When a common man sees a commonality in that character, he can relate to it,” he added.

For Manit, every new show is not just an adventure but also a lesson where he can learn and unlearn a few things. He added, “You make some new bonds, and understand yourself better. With every show, you become a better version of yourself because it makes you uncomfortable and comfortable, it makes you realise many things about yourself, and it gives you a basic understanding of your own self.”
