'The Archies’ unleash retro magic with 'Va Va Voom' ft. Suhana, Khushi, Agastya & others

In a year brimming with anticipation, one Bollywood film that has captured the attention of fans is 'The Archies.' Directed by the renowned Zoya Akhtar, this youthful comedy promises to be a refreshing take on the iconic comic book series set in the swinging '60s of India's fictional town of Riverdale. With a stellar cast that includes fresh talents like Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and more. 

On Friday, November 3 the makers of 'The Archies' dropped a mesmerizing new song titled 'Va Va Voom.' Composed by the illustrious Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Javed Akhtar penned the enchanting lyrics, adding a touch of timeless charm to the composition. 'Va Va Voom' opens with Agastya Nanda, showcasing his guitar skills, instantly setting the mood for an immersive experience. The music gracefully transitions into a lip-sync performance, inviting the audience into a world of magic and nostalgia. 

The visuals are nothing short of a spectacle, with graceful dance sequences featuring Agastya, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor. They are joined by Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda, and Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal. It’s a delightful throwback to the '60s rock and roll era, offering a fun and retro dance vibe. 

Director Zoya Akhtar shared her views about the song, explaining that "Va Va Voom" is a classic Archie comic term used to compliment someone, a way of saying they are cool."

Produced by Tiger Baby Films, 'The Archies' has stirred significant excitement among viewers. The trailer for the film is scheduled to be unveiled on November 9, and the film is all set to premiere on Netflix on December 7.
