Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah reclaims No. 1 Spot; Sachin Shroff calls it ‘a big responsibility’

Sab TV’s beloved and longest-running comedy series, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has once again climbed to the top of the television ratings. As per the latest BARC TRP ratings for Week 24, the show has scored an impressive 2.2 rating, surpassing other hit shows including Anupamaa, and reclaiming its position as the number one show across Hindi general entertainment channels.

Actor Sachin Shroff, who plays the role of Taarak Mehta in the series, shared his thoughts on the big achievement. In a conversation with India Forums, he said, “First of all, a big thank you to our producer Asit Kumarr Modi for creating such meaningful content. And most importantly, thank you to our audience who have continuously shown love and support over the years. Reaching number one is not just exciting, it’s emotional too, because it reflects the hard work of our entire team.”

He continued, “Being a part of this iconic show feels like a responsibility. We aim to keep delivering content that not only entertains but brings happiness. Our main goal has always been to spread laughter—and seeing that connect with people is incredibly rewarding.”

Currently, the show is capturing viewers' attention with a fun and spooky twist known as the “Bhootni track.” Mysterious events are happening in Gokuldham Society, keeping residents puzzled and fans intrigued. Popatlal’s ongoing quest for love is now mixed with supernatural confusion, while Bhide keeps dreaming of a strange woman—adding a humorous touch to the ghostly storyline.

Amid all the chaos, Mehta Sahab and Sodhi are eager to take a break. They are planning a fun-filled boys’ trip to escape the ongoing madness in the society. Their desire to unwind brings in more laughter and adds a refreshing break from the tension, proving the show's ability to balance humor, mystery, and relatable situations.
