Producers Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor have shared Sushant Divgikar's rendition of 'Pari Hoon Main' from their coming-of-age comedy film "Thank You For Coming." It is revolutionary as, for the first time in Indian cinema, a Trans person has sung in a film.
Sushant Divgikar, also known as Rani KoHEnur, has fearlessly introduced his unique identity to the world. His journey is nothing short of inspiring.
In response to the overwhelming support from fans, the makers have unveiled the full video of the song featuring Sushant Divgikar, which is all set to ignite the Garba season. The song is now available on Saregama Music.
Talking about the same Sushant says, “I am delighted and over the moon to be able to depict such varied characters as an actor in my debut Bollywood film as well as sing and dance in the same film.
Very few people do all three of these things in the movies and this is just the beginning to what I hope, shall be an excellent journey. I want to thank Rhea Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor and Karan Boolani for believing in me and making this dream a reality. To all the Paris from the LGBTQIA community, I just want to say, this is a very historic moment for us all, I hope and pray that my character in THANK YOU FOR COMING, reduces stigma and stereotypes around the community. To all the audiences that are coming to the theatres to watch the film, THANK YOU FOR COMING.”
In the film, where a Trans person character was required, Director Karan Boolani & Rhea Kapoor consciously chose to cast a real trans person rather than having an actor play the role. They masterfully crafted Sushant's character, and his remarkable portrayal in the song "Pari Hoon Main" has earned him a lot of praise.
For the unversed, this is the first time, a trans person has played both male and female roles in a film.
The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kushaa Kapila, Shibani Bedi, and Dolly Singh.

Is he gay or trans? Seems like he himself is confused. I hope he finds a permanent cure to his mental illness.
