Sunny Hinduja, known for his brilliant performances in shows like Aspirants and The Family Man, has taken on a new role. He recently launched his very own chat show titled Sunny Sunayi Baatein, where he engages in heartfelt conversations with notable personalities, including the likes of Gajraj Rao, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Bhuvan Arora. The show, which airs on YouTube, is not your typical celebrity interview—it’s an intimate, reflective conversation centered on life, love, friendships, and experiences.

India Forums caught up with Sunny to talk about what inspired him to start the show, what makes it unique, and some memorable moments with his guests. Here are the excerpts from our conversation:

What prompted you to start Sunny Sunayi Baatein?

Frankly speaking, I feel my purpose in life is to give and receive love, and this show is an extension of that belief. YouTube is a platform where my journey really took off, especially with Aspirants on TVF’s channel, which garnered immense love and support. I felt a strong connection with the platform and wanted to do something meaningful here again. The idea for the show came from this space, but also because there’s so much beauty around us that we don’t share enough. We often talk about everything under the sun but forget to celebrate people, friendships, and love. That’s the essence of this show—to celebrate relationships and the joy that comes from them.

How would you say your show is different from other celebrity chat shows?

It’s different in the sense that it’s not just about celebrity gossip or interviews. The focus is on celebrating love, friendships, and the relationships we hold dear. I want to highlight the beauty in our personal connections, not just with friends but with the people who support us, inspire us, and challenge us. We’re celebrating that bond in an honest, heartfelt way. There’s nothing scripted about it; it’s just authentic, fun conversations.

What has been your experience like so far with the guests you’ve had?

I’m truly grateful that everyone I approached for the show has been on board so willingly. The guests bring their own unique energy and stories, and that’s what makes every episode special. For instance, when I spoke with Shreya Dhanwanthary, the conversation brought back memories of my childhood, like the time my parents sent me to a boarding school in third grade. We touched upon the emotions I went through, and it became this beautiful moment of reflection. With Gajraj Rao, I was amazed by how prepared he was for the show. He came with placards and quizzes, ready to add something extra to our conversation. It was such a delight!

Any particular insights or takeaways from your conversations that have stayed with you?

Oh, definitely! Every conversation brings a new revelation. For example, when Bhuvan Arora was on the show, he shared something that truly struck a chord with me. It’s moments like these that make the show feel so enriching, not just for the audience but for me as well. I’m learning so much from these heartfelt conversations. We’re not just discussing careers or achievements, but the joys, challenges, and love we share as people.

Journalists, in particular, have been joking and quipping about this thing a lot- actors taking up the role of interviewers and taking up their jobs, so do you feel that them thinking this is justified?

It’s been such a fulfilling experience. I’m not trying to be an interviewer or take anyone’s job (laughs). It’s more about having fun conversations and learning from them. The whole idea is to talk about the things that connect us—the love, the challenges, the bonds we share. And I think it’s different when two actors are talking; it adds a layer of relatability because we share similar experiences. It’s not about asking hard-hitting questions or digging for juicy information. It’s about highlighting the goodness, the love, and the genuineness in our industry and in our lives.

What do you hope viewers take away from the show?

For me, it’s all about spreading love and positivity. The show is really a catch-up session where we dive deep into topics that matter to us—friendships, challenges, memories, and love. I hope viewers feel the warmth and joy of these conversations and realize that, at the end of the day, it’s our relationships and bonds that make life special. If the show inspires people to cherish those connections a little more, then I feel I’ve done something right.

Tune in to catch more of these unforgettable moments where Sunny’s warmth and genuine love for people truly shine through.
