Shweta Basu Prasad to play a DOUBLE ROLE in Chandra Nandini!

Star Plus' popular show Chandra Nandini (Balaji Telefilms) is all set to spice things up and add to the ongoing drama.

For all the fans of Shweta Basu Prasad, here's some good news. According to a leading entertainment portal, Shweta will now don a double role in the show and a look-alike of the lady will be introduced in the show.

The backdrop for her entry will be such that Nand's (Arpita Ranka) first wife had taken away one of the twin daughters (the look-alike of Nandini that is). Despite nobody having any clue about her existence, she will be shown reuniting with her family.

As per sources, the character name for Nandini's look-alike is likely to be Roopa.

A lot is sure to happen next, isn't it?

We tried contacting Shweta, she, however, denied to comment on the same.

For once on Indian show, it would be lovely to watch a sensible male lead. I am so hoping for Chandra to figure out the truth of dual Nandanis. Instead of being the typical lead who is moping and sobbing till 200 episodes, it would be a breath of fresh air to see a king acting mighty and smartly

Shwetha you are doing good . Keep up the good work . Be it positive or negative logo ka kaam hai bholna . Actor should shut haters mouth through their hard work and dedication then sure sort success is theirs.

Ekta is so experienced and have always been amazing while choosing leads for her shows.. So she must have judged Sweta's acting ability before taking her as the FL opposite to a brilliant actor like Rajat.. And She has been able to impress many of Chandra Nandini fans.. hoping to see her winning over more viewers with each passing episode.. Good job Shweta basu Prasad.. First of all, we're not like her as we're not actors. So there's no need for us to look in the mirror. As she is an actor so there's a certain level of expectation from the audiences. As a lead, there's need to deliver and there's not much of time to ''learn'' to match others.

Shweta is not a terrible actress. Ekta has surely thought of something before telecasting her. It's easy to call her terrible when we are not even 5% of her. I am only irritated with double role twist not Shweta. She will soon emerge in Top 10 actresses of Tellywood with her hard work and talent.

Shweta Basu is terrible as Nandini. Very bad pick by Balaji when they have actresses in the caliber of Krystle & Adaa in weekend slots but not so good ones in weekdays slot.

Yes definitely.. Shweta Basu Prasad is doing a good job as Nandini in Chandra Nandini.. Looking forward to enjoy the high voltage drama.. Hope it does not fail to impress the audiences

Ekta Kapoor should have made this a totally fictional period drama, instead of using characters like Chandragupta and Chanakya amid her fictional nonsense.
