Shiv Thakare reveals emotional struggles: "I still believe in love"

Reality TV star Shiv Thakare recently opened up about his personal views on love and relationships, revealing an emotional and vulnerable side of himself. While he has gained immense popularity through various reality shows, Shiv admits that he is currently "scared of love," though he believes this feeling won't last forever.

Shiv rose to fame after winning Bigg Boss Marathi 2, and later became a nationally recognized name when he finished as the first runner-up in Bigg Boss 16. He further strengthened his television presence with his participation in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, earning a strong fan base and household recognition.

In a candid interview with Mumbai Mirror, Shiv discussed his relationship history. He mentioned his previous relationship with Veena Jagtap, whom he met during his Bigg Boss Marathi 2 journey. However, the two parted ways in 2022. Since then, Shiv has been single and is now looking ahead with a hopeful mindset.

He expressed his desire to eventually settle down. Calling himself a romantic, Shiv hopes to find a partner who understands and respects the nature of his profession. "I want someone who will understand the demands of my work and value my efforts. As actors, we work with many people, so mutual trust is very important," he shared.

Though he admits that fear of love still lingers—possibly due to past emotional experiences—Shiv remains hopeful. "Yes, I'm scared of love. But I know I'll overcome that fear and eventually find the right person," he added. His words reflect a softer, more personal side, different from the strong and competitive personality viewers are used to seeing on screen.

Shiv also drew inspiration from his parents' enduring love. Watching their lasting bond gives him hope to find something similar. "My parents are still in love with each other, and I want that kind of forever in my life too," he said warmly.

Professionally, Shiv is ready to transition from reality TV into the world of acting. He expressed his eagerness to explore scripted roles in films and web series. "People have only seen my real self in reality shows. Now I want to show them my skills as an actor," he explained.

As he prepares for this new chapter, Shiv Thakare carries with him both caution and optimism—fearful of love, but still believing in its power, and excited about new creative opportunities ahead.
