Apart from his acting skills the handsome man has a hidden skill which we just got to know. Srikant is a brilliant orator and reciter. If someone follows his social media, they will witness his love for recitation.
Sharing more on his love for poems Dwivedi says, ”During my school days, I developed a deep love for poem recitation. There are a few poems from that time that I still remember. This is when I realized my passion for poetry. It’s the power of the words in the poems that truly attracts me. They inspire me deeply, and that’s what motivates me to continue pursuing recitation. I want to carry this passion forward and work on reciting more and more poems in the future.”
Srikant shares right now he has not written down his own thoughts but gradually he will start doing it. He adds, “I enjoy reciting poems written by other poets. But gradually, I plan to write something of my own. The reason I recite poems written by others is because, whenever I am on set or about to perform a scene, I listen to different kinds of poetry some romantic, or something that give an adrenaline rush. This helps me get into the right mindset before performing or shooting a scene. It’s like poetry sinks into my muscle memory, which is really helpful. After the shoot, I don’t get much time, but whenever I do, I recite those poems again because they benefit me a lot in the work I do.”
Srikant believes poems have definitely helped him in his performance. He says, ”As an actor, these poems definitely help me enhance my performance and expressions. Before a shoot, there are different types of forms I listen to depending on the scene. Some forms bring out bravery and courage, so if I have a scene that requires those emotions, I listen to them to help me get into character. Similarly, if it’s a romantic scene, I listen to romantic poetry or songs. This helps me connect with the emotions and expressions needed for the scene, allowing me to portray the character more effectively.”
Do you believe reciting poems can bring about a change in how people perceive emotions or situations? He says, “It works for me. As we all know, people are different, and everyone has their own way of perceiving emotions or situations. For me, even in normal conversations with people or when I have to explain something, whether it’s during a live session on Instagram or in social settings these poetry helps me a lot. These poems allow me to express my feelings better so that the person or group I’m speaking to can understand what I’m trying to say. It’s like creating a story that conveys the summary or essence of a situation more clearly.”
