Sharmi fails in the pavitrata test in Ganga Kii Dheej..

Sahara One's much-anticipated show Ganga Kii Dheej went on air yesterday with an inaugural one hour episode. The show which started with the unfortunate death of Geeta (Kritika Kamra) owing to the fear of failure in the Pavitra Pariksha later saw the father of Sharmi (Sonam Mann) getting desperate to get her daughter married without her going thro' the pavitrata test.

Tonight's episode will see a high point wherein Sharmi is forced by the Mahamayi (Ashwini Kalsekar) to go thro' the test, during which she has to stay inside the water for few seconds. After going thro' this, she will be made to walk thro' burning coal.

Our source tells us, "Sharmi will eventually fail in the test, after which Mahamayi will send her to the Narak Ka Dwar which means that the entire village will boycott the girl, including her family after which nobody will be able to see her hereafter".

Narrating more on the sequence our source tells us, "Sonam literally burnt her leg while shooting for her pariksha scene. There was coal kept near to where Sonam was shooting, and by mistake the girl stepped on the coal and burnt her leg. However, she completed the sequence with the same zeal, and only after the shoot got over the unit came to know of Sonam's injury".
