Shantanu Maheshwari Explores His Roots with Bengali Debut ‘Chaalchitro’

Shantanu Maheshwari, known for his incredible performances across platforms, is ready to step into Bengali cinema with his debut film Chaalchitro. The movie, packed with action, mystery, and thrill, brings to life a dynamic Cop Universe.

Shantanu shared his excitement, saying, "I am super excited for my Bengali film debut. This is something I had been wanting to do for a very long time, and I finally got an amazing opportunity all thanks to Pratim Dasgupta. I always wanted to do a Bengali film, as it would be my way of contributing to my roots." His heartfelt connection to the project reflects his deep cultural pride.

The actor elaborated on his role in Chaalchitro, saying, "The story is very powerful, and I am playing the role of a cop, something I have never done before. I got to do a lot of action sequences for this role and also learn about the technicalities that are required to shoot an action sequence. Initially, it was also a challenge to get more fluent in Bengali, but with the support of our entire team, it all became easier. Overall the experience of shooting for the film was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see the audience response."

Shantanu first gained popularity as Swayam Shekhawat in the hit show Dil Dosti Dance, which explored love, friendship, and dance. He also represented India on the global stage with the Desi Hoppers dance crew, winning the World of Dance Championship.

From bagging the winner’s trophy in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 to his Bollywood debut in Gangubai Kathiawadi and recent work in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Shantanu’s journey is inspiring. His Bengali debut is yet another milestone in his flourishing career.
