Comedian Samay Raina utilized social media to powerfully convey his solidarity with the Indian armed forces following recent Pakistani attacks on Jammu. In a poignant Instagram story shared late at night, Raina wrote that he had communicated with his father, who is presently in Jammu, and guaranteed his safety, crediting the Indian Armed Forces' watchfulness and readiness.
My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry—the Indian armed forces have everything under control. His calmness quiets my restless thoughts. I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains. Outside my window, my neighbor’s lights still glow. I know little about him, that’s just how it is here. I wonder if he, too, has family in Jammu, perhaps in Pathankot or if he might be the son of a brave soldier, who won’t sleep tonight, waiting for a morning call from his father on the front lines. My utmost respect to the armed forces and their families for all the sacrifices they make for our safety. Goodnight. Jai Hind

Pakistan initiated aerial assaults, striking more than a dozen sites, including the Jammu civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, and military installations in the area on Thursday evening. These attacks occurred merely a day after India executed precision strikes on terrorist sanctuaries within Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, under Operation Sindoor. Nevertheless, all approaching threats were effectively neutralized by India's S-400 air defence system.
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on Thursday evening after drones from the neighboring country attacked Jammu. The Indian military intercepted them, but a complete blackout was implemented in Jammu due to the air raids. Reports emerged of a Pakistani army attack on the Jammu airstrip. No casualties had been reported. The entire BS unit was then put on national duty.
