Actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who was last seen playing Rajat Tokas' leading lady in Star Plus show 'Chandra Nandini' exchanged nuptial vows in a Bengali wedding with filmmaker-boyfriend Rohit Mittal on 13th December in Pune. Post which, the newly-married couple hosted a wedding reception for their friends in Mumbai on Thursday (20th December). Shweta & Rohit's reception party was a private affair as it was attended by their families & friends including few celebrities.
Celebrities like Visha Bhardwaj (Shweta's Makdee director), Ishaan Khatter, Neelima Azim, Chetan Hansraj, Tanu Khan, Papia Sengupta among others attended the reception. It turned out to be special for Shweta as her 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' mother Sakshi Tanwar too came and gave blessings to the couple. Well, the reel life mother-daughter duo reunited at the reception after a really long time & Shweta posted a picture with Sakshi as her Instagram story. In the picture, both Shweta and Sakshi are looking elated.
Check out the picture below:
The 'Iqbal' actress also posted few other pictures from her wedding reception. Shweta looked gorgeous in a red Banarsi saree at the reception whereas Rohit complemented her in semi-formals.
For the uninitiated, Shweta & beau Rohit dated each other for four years and got engaged in June this year after the actress popped the question to him.
On the professional front, Shweta started her career as a child-artist and worked in various films as well as TV shows. She made her TV comeback as a lead actress with 'Chandra Nandini' and is on a break ever since the Star Plus show went off-air last year.
Heartiest congratulations to the newly-weds!
