It came as a shocker when the makers of Sidharth Malhotra- Manoj Bajpayee starrer "Aiyaary" announced about postponing the film. The film that was initially set to release on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2018 shifted it's release to February 9, 2018 to pave way for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial "Padmaavat".
A lot of stories and speculations about the reason behind the film getting postponed started making rounds.
However, close sources have confirmed that it's all false and the real reason about the espionage thriller being shifted that the producers are still awaiting the censor certificate for "Aiyaary".
In an unexpected turn of events, when the film was just a week away from it's release, it failed to receive the clearance from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Apart from this, the Ministry Of Defence reviewed the film last week and the Defense Ministry has suggested multiple changes to the revising committee.
Aiyaary is touted to be an espionage thriller, backed by a crisp and intriguing story line.
Set against the army backdrop the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee playing the roles of army officers. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra in pivotal roles.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film falls next in line with the renowned film makers celebrated works like A Wednesday, Baby, Special 26 and M.S.Dhoni : An Untold Story.

Of course Aiyaary is going to have problems with Censor Board! While they happily give green signals to movies such as Jism/ Hate story etc.
