If you haven't had the shock of the day as of yet and just need it as a recall, here's one realisation that might hit you hard. Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is one of the biggest superstars of the country and has been in some of the finest films as well has somehow managed to have a small filmography so far.
This hits hard as in this upcoming June 2022, it will officially be four years since Kapoor last had a release. Granted one of the reasons for that has been the constantly delayed Brahmastra and also-delayed Shamshera but it is indeed shocking to say the least. While Shamshera will be one of the first films starring Kapoor to release in July 2022, Kapoor does have some other films planned as well.
One of those is the forthcoming film, Animal where he collaborates with Kabir Singh director, Sandeep Vanga. The film is produced by T-series moghul, Bhushan Kumar and he went on to talk about it in an interview with ETimes.
He said, "We will see a different avatar of Ranbir. First of all, ‘Animal’ is not some creature film. Animal refers to a person’s personality traits, as you said, we can expect to see a violent Ranbir Kapoor. I can't tell you more about the film. But it has Anil Kapoor, too and we are starting the film in April. We are also completing Ranbir's film with Luv Ranjan, which will hopefully get over by May or June. 'Adipurush' is in post-production and likewise, ‘Shehzada’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ with Kartik Aryan are also in the offing."
Animal was announced with Kapoor leading the way and also starring Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. However, Chopra has backed out of the film becayse she has signed a film with Imtiaz Ali. Recent reports suggest that Rashmika Mandanna is the one who has replaced her. Ask Kumar if that is true, he said that he will get back with an update on Animal on a later stage.
