Celebrating Rishi Kapoor's 73rd birth anniversary on Thursday, Neetu Kapoor paid tribute to her iconic actor-husband, expressing that he will "always remain in our hearts." She commemorated the day by sharing an old video from a 2017 event held in Dubai on Instagram, offering a poignant reminder of his enduring legacy.

The shared video featured Rishi Kapoor at the "Khullam Khulla – Live with Rishi Kapoor" show on March 31, 2017, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where he shared anecdotes from his life and autobiography, "Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored." In the clip, Neetu Kapoor could be seen laughing along as Rishi spoke.

During the event, Ranbir Kapoor, along with other guests, also offered their praise for Rishi. Ranbir said, "A man who has been in the film industry for 40 years now, all the anecdotes and experiences to share it with such a large audience, I think it's a wonderful idea." Neetu Kapoor captioned the clip with, "You will always remain in our hearts (pink heart emoji) happy birthday (flower emoji)." Sanjay Kapoor reacted, "Happy birthday, Chintu. You will always be missed. So fortunate to work with you in luck by chance." Urmila Matondkar and Sadia Khateeb posted red heart emojis.

Rakesh Roshan also posted a tribute on Instagram, featuring Rishi Kapoor alongside Jeetendra, in a smiling group photo. Rakesh captioned the post, "Chintu your spirit still lives. Happy Birthday!"

Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, who married on January 22, 1980, are parents to Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor. In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia and sought treatment in New York City, returning to India a year later after successful treatment. He was readmitted to Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital on April 29, 2020, due to breathing difficulties and passed away on April 30, 2020, from a recurrence of leukemia.
