Rahul Dev Breaks Silence over 14-Year Age Gap with Mugdha Godse

Bollywood actor Rahul Dev lost his wife Rina to cancer in 2009 after 11 years of marriage. They have a son, Sidharth, together. After Rina’s demise, Rahul met Mugdha Godse in 2013, at the wedding of a mutual friend. 

“It was not love at first sight, but we became friends at a common friend’s wedding. Throughout all the functions, we were together and we bonded really well. Post that, we started meeting each other, got close and fell madly in love. I must say, I am very lucky,” Rahul shares.

Rahul Dev has been in a relationship with actor-model Mugdha Godse for over seven years now. And while it was not love at first sight, the two are very much in love today. However, a lot has been talked about the age gap of 14 years between the two.

Addressing the age gap, Rahul said on a talk show, “We have a nearly 14 year age gap and it did worry me, but then I realised that my parents had an age gap of 10 years too. So it’s not that big a gap. Also, I believe that till the time you are happy, age difference and everything else shouldn’t be an issue.”

Earlier in 2015, Mugdha had confirmed her relationship with Dev. “Mugdha and I are in a relationship. Both our families and even Rina’s (Rahul’s late wife) family, whom I’m still extremely close to, know about it. She lives with my parents when we’re in Delhi. Even my son knows that we’re dating," the 51 year old actor had told Mumbai Mirror.
