'Y.A.R.O Ka Tashan' has successfully managed to keep the viewers hooked to enjoying the quirky stories it presents in each of its episodes. The sci-fi comedy starring Aniruddh Dave as Y.A.R.O, recently reached a mark of 100 episodes and the ensemble cast got together and celebrated their success.

It is not unknown that writer of the show, Amit Aaryan has always tried to bring out the best of each genre when it comes to comedy script writing. Elated with the success the show has brought in, Amit got candid with India-Forums.com.

Y.A.R.O completed 100 episodes recently...

Yes and I am very happy about it. I had ideated about this concept about 2 years ago and when I approached SAB TV and Creative Eye Productions, they were more than happy to materialize it. I must say that this show has created history! Scheduled on the timeslot of 7:30 pm, a dead slot where one could not fetch a TRP of more than 0.2, Y.A.R.O opened its episode with a TRP of 1.1.

How has the response for your show been so far?

This show has garnered different responses from masses. I have been a part of many renowned projects which tested my versatility such as F.I.R, Lapataganj, Jeannie Aur Juju etc...and now a robot-comedy. So I am happy that people have accepted and like to watch something unique in the comedy space.

You have experimented with your work by writing different concepts. What was your idea behind this show?

My child used to watch only one show on SAB TV that is F.I.R. When I asked him about why he does not watch other shows, he mentioned about his inclination to the sci-fi genre and cartoons were the only thing that entertained him apart from this show. That is when I thought that there may be other kids like him who would want to watch a different show and I started ideating on Y.A.R.O.

What made you think people would like and connect with this show?

Look, when I made this show, I wanted it to appeal to all age groups but more particularly the kids. I think any individual, whether a kid or an adult, can connect with the innocence Y.A.R.O projects and this is the only reason the show can be placed on any time-slot as it will do well.

What more subjects do you plan to explore with Y.A.R.O?

We have some plans to experiment with our protagonist. We plan to make Y.A.R.O a superhero with extraordinary powers. Let's see if people want to see Y.A.R.O as a superhuman, if not we shall go back to project him as sweet and innocent.

I hope the viewers keep loving Y.A.R.O like they always do. Apart from that, I would especially like to thank Devika Chaudhary, the Programming Head of SAB TV for her constant support.
