I find that politicians and especially police are just as guilty as these rapists and they should also be in the dock with the rapists!

DEATH PENALTY IS FINE, BUT 1ST THE POLICE HAVE TO CATCH THE CULPRITS AND COLLECT FORENSIC EVIDENCE BUT UNFORTUNATELY MOST POLICEMEN DO NOT EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF 'FORENSIC'!

thinking that the woman was wearing short clothes so she is up for anyone's grab is disgusting. Short clothes has nothing to do with rape. I am just stupified by some looser politicians and better one these so called dhongi baba's statements. So called baba Asharam was in a scandal for killing three children for some sacrifial reasons. I can not believe he is not on the death row. What a nerve he has to say victim was at fault. (i read that on yahoo india article)
these predetors should get something worst than death penalty. Throw them in a lion or tiger's cage alive in a zoo. some where they feel more pain than death penalty. In US death penalty is a lethal injection and they make sure it is not inhumane and least painful really. there sould be public spectacular show and kill them all one by one. under age one pulled intestine with bare hands and raped multiple times.He should go first.

I'm in full agreement in what you've said! Death should not be the 'the' end for them! It's just a matter of moment and they are gone and just because they are dead it doesn't stop the other men from continuing 'rape'! What these men need is sheer torture, to the utmost level of pain and humiliation that anyone who sees them would not even imagine to molest and rape a woman! As for as clothes are concerned, she is again absolutely right! In that case there would be no such cases in rural areas but everyday other day we read about woman getting raped/violated/molested in such areas. The area nor the dress matters! It's the notion and only the notion that has got to change! Until then no woman is safe and all that happens around is just a labyrinth!

I totally agree with Nandita!!!!!This skirts and all these reasons are given by men because they want to justify and legalise rape!!!!

I agree with Nandita that blaming women for rape is shameful! If short skirts and nightclubs caused rape, then it would be a crime that only began in the 20th century! We all know it has been happening for many centuries! Rape is not always a crime of lust, most of the time it is about violence against a women! Violation of a women! Men who can do this will do it regardless of what a women is wearing! Even a women in a Burqa is not safe! Attitudes need to change! Women are not on this earth to endure harassment from men! WE have lives too and have the right to live our lives with safety and security! I live in a western country where such things as "eve teasing" does not exist! Rapes happen everywhere! But in countries like India women are harassed all the time! Rape is just the extreme version!


I disagree with Nandita on the death penalty point!! These men DESERVE the death penalty! That teenager better not be let out in 3 years! He is a killer and should be hung like the rest of them! Disgusting pervert! He has no right to live after what he has done! Just because he is 17 he gets a new life when that girl was robbed of hers?? I don't think that is justice! I will rejoice the day these men are sent to their death! It will be the only way to honour that brave girls memory!
