Priom Gujjar roped in to play lead in Rashmi Sharma’s upcoming show Lakshmi Niwas

Actor Priom Gujjar is all set to make his mark in Zee TV’s upcoming drama Lakshmi Niwas, where he will be seen playing the titular role of Raj Bundela. The actor, who has been part of several popular shows in the past, shared his excitement about this new journey and how special the project is to him.

Priom recalled how his association with producer Rashmi Sharma goes back to 2019, when he featured in the mythological drama Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi – Kahani Mata Rani Ki. Talking about his return, he said, “Back then I worked under Rashmi Sharma Productions, and now I’m thrilled to be part of their show again. What makes this even more exciting is that this time I’m playing the hero, my very first titular role. The production house has always delivered remarkable shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Sasural Simar Ka. Being chosen to lead one of their projects feels like a dream come true.”

The actor, who was last seen on TV in Shaitani Rasmein, which went off air earlier this year, revealed how he kept himself busy with OTT projects during the break. “After my TV show ended in January, I worked on an OTT project with Vikram Bhatt sir and collaborated with several well-known platforms. But when this project came my way, I instantly felt it was the perfect time to return to television.”

Priom has also been part of Paurashpur Season 2, showcasing his versatility in different genres. For Lakshmi Niwas, which is the official remake of Zee Kannada’s successful series Lakshmi Nivasa, the actor is leaving no stone unturned in preparation. “The show already has versions running successfully in Kannada and Marathi. I have been watching the Kannada series closely to understand my character better. It’s helping me grasp the emotions of the role, and I’m even picking up a bit of Kannada along the way. This process is making me more confident about portraying Raj Bundela on screen.”

With a career that spans shows like Kaleerein, Ishqbaaaz, Mithai, Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, and Karmadhikari Shanidev, Priom has built a strong reputation for delivering impactful performances. However, he believes that Lakshmi Niwas is particularly significant as it places him at the center of the story for the first time.
