Preity Zinta slams false reports of Rohit Sharma joining PBKS

However, recent events have stirred up unwarranted speculation, with an erroneous quote wrongly attributed to Zinta. 

Amidst rumors swirling around Rohit Sharma's future with the Mumbai Indians, particularly after his replacement as captain by Hardik Pandya for the current season, a new report surfaced online suggesting Zinta's purported interest in acquiring Sharma for her team at next year's mega auction.

Dispelling these rumors with firm resolve, Zinta took to her official social media handle to set the record straight. In a categorical post, she denounced the false reports, emphasizing that she holds Rohit Sharma in high esteem but has never discussed him in any interview nor made the alleged statement. Taking to her official X handle, Preity posted,

 "#Fakenews! All these articles are completely fake & baseless. I hold Rohit Sharma in very high regard & am a big fan of his, but I have NEVER DISCUSSED him in any interview nor made this STATEMENT !"

The timing of these baseless rumors, particularly with Shikhar Dhawan, the current captain of the Mohali-based franchise, sidelined due to injury, adds further disappointment, noted the 49-year-old Zinta.
