Television actor Farman Haider, known for his role in Pocket Mein Aasman, has recently taken a strong stand against the growing trend of vulgar and indecent content on social media. In a candid statement shared through his Instagram stories, Farman expressed his disappointment with certain creators who, according to him, have "stooped low" for fleeting attention and online validation. His comments come at a time when concerns around online content moderation and cultural sensitivity are gaining more attention.
Addressing the issue directly, Farman wrote, “Sometimes while scrolling on Instagram, I come across reels with extremely vulgar and indecent content that neither fits into our culture nor our country's values. And shockingly, people stoop to such levels just for a few views, likes, and some money.” He further added, “The most surprising part is that these reels still get so many likes and comments. Truly such a shame. Someone needs to take action.”
The actor did not hold back in calling out the platforms themselves. He tagged @metaindia and @meta in his stories, urging the tech giant to take strict measures against creators who promote such objectionable content. According to him, Instagram has become so flooded with tasteless material that it makes users feel ashamed to even be associated with the platform.

This is not the first time a public figure has spoken out about the declining quality of content on social media. However, Farman’s post struck a chord with many of his fans who applauded him for speaking up on a subject often overlooked. With millions of users and creators operating on platforms like Instagram, the debate between creative freedom and responsible content creation continues to intensify.
Whether Meta responds to Farman’s plea remains to be seen, but his bold remarks have certainly reignited the conversation about digital ethics and the cultural responsibility of influencers in shaping the virtual landscape.
