Shefali tragically passed away on June 27, 2025, reportedly due to cardiac arrest. The day after her death, Parag was seen walking their pet dog Simba—an action that drew sharp reactions from the public. With Shefali no longer around, Parag felt an even stronger bond with Simba, who is both elderly and partially blind.

Simba, too, was grieving and feeling the absence of Shefali. “Dogs are extremely intuitive—they can sense when something is wrong,” Paras said.

Reports suggest her passing was linked to complications from medication and anti-aging treatments taken while fasting.
