Pankhuri Awasthy On Her Exit From Yeh Rishta: I'm Leaving On A Good Note!

Star Plus’ long-running and one of the most popular shows, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, still aces the TRPs after over a decade. The show has had many iconic moments and characters and one of them is Vedika played by talented actress Pankhuri Awasthy. Vedika created a havoc in Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira’s (Shivangi Joshi) marital bliss and with her innocent face played games to separate the love birds.

Well, the makers have now decided to end Vedika’s character in the show, hence Pankhuri Awasthy will be bidding adieu to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Naira will expose Vedika's truth in front of everyone and Kartik will eventually abandon her. In fact, it’s the last day of her shoot today and the actress has shared some adorable pictures from the set with Mohsin and Shivangi.

We contacted Pankhuri to ask about her experience of being a part of the show and she said, "Well, this was how my character Vedika was destined to be. It was initially supposed to be a three month track and later it got stretched for eight months, so I'm very glad about it. Everybody in the show is like my family now and these eight months were really enjoyable. I'm leaving on a good note."

Further talking about her plans after the show she said, "There are no plans as of now, I'm just waiting for the release of my film Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan."
