Pankhuri Awasthy on Gud Se Meetha Ishq: I worked very hard on my dialogues to get the most out of my character

The upcoming show 'Gud Se Meetha Ishq' on Star Bharat has the audience excited to see something new and different about the show's love story. Viewers' favourite actress Pankhuri Awasthy, who plays the lead character in the show, will be seen as a tourist guide who will defy stereotypes inherent  in this male-dominated society. 

Pankhuri Awasthy has played strong characters in the past and will appear in the show as a tourist guide who will defy the stereotypes in this male-dominated society. The unique aspect is that Pankhuri has worked hard on her language skills in order to live up to her role as a Garhwali woman tourist guide. Know how?

Actress Pankhuri Awasthy, who plays the role of Kaju in the show, talked about her preparation for the Garhwali dialogue. She said,

''All of the time that I've spent in the mountains, it has deeply inspired me to create this character. I worked very hard on my dialogues in order to get the most out of my character. On set, I have a Garhwali teacher who teaches me the difference between right and wrong with every word, tone, and corrects my language. On set, I frequently lose my rhythm, and they correct me and tell me what I've missed and how to speak. Even when I went to Mussoorie, I paid close attention to how the people spoke, conversed with one of them, and asked how they pronounce each word. Since many of our co-actors are Pahari, I always ask them questions and continue to learn so that my language and diction improve. During my childhood, I travelled to various mountain ranges such as Nainital, Shimla, Mussoorie, and Kullu because we used to live in Chandigarh and this was the closest place to visit for us, which also helped me become acquainted with the language.''

Produced by Film Farm India, the show will soon take the audiences through a new love story.  While actress Meera Deosthale plays Pari, a mentally challenged girl, Ishaan Dhawan will be seen in the lead role as photographer Neel Khurana. The show also festures Peelu Vidyarthi, Vishal Chaudhary, Amrapali Gupta, Ananya Khare, amongst others.
