Tragedy struck actor Pankaj Tripathi's family as his brother-in-law, Rajesh Tiwari and sister, Sarita Tiwari, met with a car accident on April 20. The couple was en route from Bihar to West Bengal when the unfortunate incident occurred. Rajesh lost his life in the accident, while Sarita sustained critical injuries and is currently hospitalised.
A video circulating on Twitter captured the chaotic scene at Nirsa Market Chowk in Jharkhand, near the Grand Trunk Road, where the accident transpired.
The footage shows a white Maruti Swift colliding with a divider after losing control. Despite immediate medical attention at Dhanbad Medical College Hospital, Rajesh couldn't be saved, while Sarita remained in the ICU for treatment.
The couple was travelling from Kamalpur in Gopalganj, Bihar, to Chittaranjan, West Bengal, when their car crashed into the divider near Nirsa Market Chowk. The impact of the collision left the front of their vehicle severely damaged.
Rajesh, who was employed with Indian Railways and stationed in Chitranjan, West Bengal, was returning from his village when the accident occurred. While there have been no official updates on Sarita's condition, Pankaj Tripathi or his family members are yet to comment on the tragic incident.
