Tridha Choudhury is a well-known name in the South film industry. But the actress made a huge splash with her Star Plus show 'Dahleez', a finite courtroom drama. The series was on-air for 3 months and managed to win over the love of masses.
Post her stint in 'Dahleez', questions about which television project will Tridha take up next started doing the rounds. But the actress shocked everyone when she revealed that she wanted to take a break from the daily soap grind and try something new.
Without wasting any time, the actress returned to the limelight with Vikram Bhatt's web series 'Spotlight', which can be viewed on the Viu app.
Speaking about why she chose to make a comeback with a web series, she revealed that she found the character of Sana and her journey very catchy.
She continued, "To be honest, TV is an accessible form of medium. And families watch television. But digital is something that is at everyone's fingertips.
I get to play with different personas in 'Spotlight'. My character, Sana Sanyal has different shades that are yet to come to fore and will be flashed as the episodes progress."
Spotlight exposes the dark world of Bollywood. We asked Tridha if she can relate to her character, Sana (who is mentally and physically exploited)?
To this, the actress said, "Yes, I have experienced many things as Tridha, but emotionally. We do not achieve success easily, we face failures as well and I have experienced them. One should learn to graciously accept rejection and failure, and try again."
Spotlight is into its 7th episode on the Viu app and is already appealing to the masses. We look forward to the interesting storyline that is coming up.Join Our WhatsApp Channel
