Nikhil Siddhartha on Karthikeya 2's nationwide success: This is going to help me back great stories ahead

The film Karthikeya 2 have been making a lot of noise due ti its immense success all over the country. The leading man of the film, Nikhil Siddhartha had a chat with India Forums amid the film's release on digital platform Zee5.  

He was questioned, "This is your first time reaching the 100 crore club with Karthikeya 2, so does this achievement help you grow as an actor and provide a validation to your hard work?"

To this he said,

"Well, I do not know about validation, but yes seeing myself in that elite 100 crore club is very exciting. But more than that the love that I have received from the people all across India is what have made me more happier. Right now, this is going to help me back much more great stories. And the kind of collections that it has made will help to get better budgets for good films and it can help us do better VFX, better productions  and make bigger films in very nice ways so, revenue is very happy and heartening  and it does motivate us to do better films."

When asked, "Did you for see or expect that this film will break such records and become so successful all across the country?

Siddhartha said, 

"It was a huge surprise. We thought, it was going to do extremely well in Telugu because it was a sequel to a well-known film, but we thought it's going to be really early baby steps into the Hindi market, but the baby steps came out to be gigantic. It competed with some very great films and got some terrific numbers at the box office, which has give so much boost and I am very happy about that.

Also as the film will now be available on streaming platform Zee5, Nikhil also shared a small message for the viewers. He expressed,

"I just want to say that, where ever it is coming, it is a good film so just watch it and thank you, I love you and, I respect you. If you missed it watching in theatres, please watch it on Zee 5 as it's available on high definition and with best quality audio, because this is a movie that has son many elements, it talks bout mythology . its something you can watch with everybody your family, friends so tune in to zee5 and watch it. Don't miss the movie."

Chandoo Mondeti wrote and directed the Telugu-language mystery action-adventure film. The movie, which stars Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupama Parameswaran, and Anupam Kher, is a sequel to Karthikeya from 2014.
