Namit Das in Mira Nair's musical!

The Sumit Sambhal Lega actor will soon be seen in the acclaimed director's musical.

Actor Namit Das won many accolades for his portrayal of Sumit in the Indian sitcom Sumit Sambhal Lega. The actor is all set to win more hearts in the theatre space now.

Namit will soon be seen in acclaimed Indian Origin director Mira Nair's next musical 'Monsoon Wedding: The Musical'. The actor will be seen essaying the role of Dubey in the musical. Actor Vijay Raaz had played the role in the film.

We got in touch with Namit who told us,"There were auditions going on all around the world. And the characters were the same as the film. I was auditioned in India and Mira loved my audition. That is how I came on board."

The actor has been shuttling between India and New York for various workshops that have been happening. The final production will begin in 2017 and if all goes well, Sumit will be seen in the final production as well.
