The confusion began when a report surfaced stating, “Hera Pheri 3, the last project! Priyadarshan may bid farewell to Bollywood.” Mika Singh, seeing the post, assumed it was news of the veteran director’s death.

In a now-viral moment, Mika commented, “Om Shanti,” a phrase traditionally used in India to express grief and pray for the departed soul. The comment immediately drew reactions from netizens, who responded with humour rather than judgement. One wrote, “Saste nashe aisa karwa dete hain, mat kiya karo paaji.” Another added, “Paaji pack seck to nai maar liya na 😂😂😂 tussi chasma utaro 😂😂😂.” A third fan pointed out, “Paaji abhi shaam hua hai… aaj itna jaldi paaji.”

While Mika’s comment was innocent, the incident quickly became a talking point online, highlighting how even seasoned celebrities can misread news in the fast-paced social media environment.

Mika Singh has recently been in the headlines for other reasons too. His remarks on the release of Diljit Dosanjh’s film Sardaar Ji 3 overseas drew attention. The film, which featured Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, prompted Mika to share a post titled Desh Pehle on Instagram Stories.

Though Mika did not directly name Diljit Dosanjh, the post, coupled with his comments on international tours and the mention of a “fake singer,” was widely interpreted as a jibe aimed at him. The post also included headshots of both Mika and Diljit, fuelling speculation about the ongoing tension.
