"Malum nahi kyu but mera image misogynist bolke kharab kar diya hai" - Vijay Deverakonda on being remarked

The trailer of Kushi has now been released and it has already created quite a stir as people are expressing the story. But if there is one moment that specifically stood out was the closing moments of the trailer where Vijay Deverakonda's character remarks how he is a total feminist and only people assume him not to be. 

This obviously seemed to be a dig at Deverakonda's real-life happenings as post Arjun Reddy, the actor went on to create a rage with his interviews and many would remark how his thoughts and approach is misogynistic.

At the trailer launch of Kushi, Deverakonda was asked about the same and to this, he said, "maalum nahi kyu aise Kiya lekin sabne misogynist, misogynist bolke kharab kar diya hai (don't know why but everyone spoiled the image by calling me misogynistic). Whoever actually know me intimately knows what I am and they never have any doubts about the same."

After the immense success of Arjun Reddy and the remake of the same in Hindi, Kabir Singh, Deverakonda was seen giving interviews about the film which created conversation and the same continued ever since.

Kushi is said to release on 1st September 2023.
