Malaika's father's reason of death revealed in Post-mortem report

In a sad turn of events, Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, leaving the family in profound sorrow. Recent updates suggest that a post-mortem examination has been conducted, uncovering that 'multiple injuries' led to his demise.

As per a News 18 report, Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, underwent a post-mortem on Wednesday night around 8 p.m., which unveiled that his passing was a result of multiple injuries.

Initially, the authorities were considering the possibility of suicide. ANI reported that DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan stated that Anil Mehta's body was discovered on the 6th floor of his home. He mentioned that additional investigations are in progress, with forensic teams present at the scene and the body sent for a post-mortem examination. While the initial evaluation suggests suicide, a comprehensive investigation is currently underway.

According to an India Today report, just before the incident, Anil Mehta phoned his daughters, Malaika and Amrita, and conveyed his fatigue by stating, "I'm tired." Previous accounts suggested that Malaika Arora, who was in Pune at the time, promptly traveled back to Mumbai upon learning of her father's passing. She and her sister, Amrita Arora, rushed to their mother's home to provide support to their family during this difficult time.

On Wednesday evening, Malaika Arora released a heartfelt statement informing about the loss of her father, Anil Mehta. The message read, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.”

Today, the final rites of Anil Mehta took place, with several industry friends coming to offer their condolences. Attendees included Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora's former husband, with his wife Sshura Khan; Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was accompanied by Saif Ali Khan and Karisma Kapoor; along with Arjun Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Sajid Khan with Farah Khan, and numerous others.
