Mahir Pandhi calls his stint in Veer Hanuman 'challenging but rewarding'

Sony SAB’s much-awaited mythological show, *Veer Hanuman*, is all set to take audiences on a spiritual and thrilling journey starting March 11. The show will air Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM, bringing the incredible story of Lord Hanuman to life with a powerful narrative and dynamic characters.

Actor Mahir Pandhi has joined the cast and will be playing both Bali and Sugriv the contrasting brothers from the epic tale. While **Bali** is known for his unmatched strength and dominance, Sugriv symbolizes resilience and loyalty. Playing two very different roles requires serious preparation, and Mahir has taken his commitment to the next level.

Unlike many actors who focus on looking lean, Mahir has chosen to gain weight to make his portrayal of the mighty brothers more realistic. Preparing for these roles meant intense physical and emotional training to embody the power and personality of both characters.

It was challenging but rewarding. To build muscle, I focused on compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, shoulder presses, and bench presses.

My diet was key—I ate every few hours, loading up on carbs and good fats to ensure I got enough calories. Sleep was also crucial; I made sure to get at least 8-9 hours for muscle recovery."*

Now that filming is taking place in the outskirts of Gujarat, Mahir acknowledges that maintaining Bali’s look will be even tougher, but he is determined to give his best and bring the character to life just as envisioned.
