Mahabharat's Yudhishthir Gajendra Chauhan calls for a ban on Adipurush

Gajendra Chauhan, the renowned actor known for his portrayal of Yudhishthir in BR Chopra's Mahabharat, has recently expressed his reservations about director Om Raut's controversial film, Adipurush, which is based on the Indian epic Ramayana. The movie has faced widespread criticism from audiences due to its subpar visual effects and objectionable dialogues involving Hindu gods.

Despite having purchased a ticket, Chauhan made the decision not to watch the film. He stated that his conscience could not allow him to support a movie that contradicted his beliefs. After watching the trailers and short clips, he concluded that Adipurush lacked substance. 

Chauhan went on to suggest that there might be a deeper conspiracy behind the film, aimed at corrupting future generations. He directed a message to Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series, urging him to approach these matters with the same sincerity as his father, Gulshan Kumar, who respected religious sentiments. 

Regarding the revised dialogues penned by Manoj Muntashir for Adipurush, Chauhan dismissed their significance, stating that the damage had already been done. He further asserted that the audience had already punished the filmmakers by rejecting the film, indicating that they deserved the consequences of their actions. He also boldly declared, "This film should not have been released at all. The entire film should be banned. The government should immediately put a stop to it."

Additionally, Chauhan criticized lyricist Manoj Muntashir, accusing him of spreading ignorance and lacking knowledge. He alleged that Muntashir had compiled dialogues from various videos by different writers circulating on social media and presented them as his own work.
