Madirakshi Mundle: Your luck decides whether you get work in this industry or not!

Actress Madirakshi Mundle says that while hard work is imperative in showbiz, luck also plays a very important role. She says that your first break actually depends on how lucky you are.

“There is no doubt that successful people work very hard to achieve all that they have. Luck, however, certainly plays a very significant role because it can make all the difference between your hard work, yielding spectacular outcomes, normal outcomes or no outcomes at all. In this industry, it even decides whether you get to work in the first place! You can, of course, influence how much effort you put in but you simply cannot control luck as I am sure most people discover for themselves. Luck bestows opportunity and hard work determines what you do with it,” she says.

She says that this in area, she has always been very lucky. “I have been fortunate. I have had a successful career as an interior designer and I really loved the work. That experience came in handy for my personal lounge at home. I also won the twin city pageant while practicing as an interior designer, so success has found its way to me very early in life. My work in the entertainment industry has undoubtedly brought me recognition and earned me a wide audience but I am still taking baby steps in the industry,” she says.

Talking about success, she says, “The ability to take decisions and make things happen for myself, loved ones, friends, and family and not be dependent on circumstances. Anyone who can live a public life on their own terms and is of their own making. Being surrounded by people who care for you, watch out for you and do things for you unasked is also a success signal for me.”

She adds, “I think generally, in life, and especially in the entertainment industry, one should have the capacity to digest huge slices of luck since it is such a crucial ingredient of success. There is no harm in crediting luck for your success because every successful person must know that luck goes hand in hand with hard work and effort. Wearing your success with grace and humility can’t hurt. You should also not forget the people who would have played a small but important part in your journey to success. Of course, I can speak only for myself since everyone has their own way of dealing with success. But success can definitely distort reality so you should be able to always figure out what is real and what isn’t.”
