KL Rahul Shares Glimpse of Life with Athiya and Daughter Evaraah on Mother’s Day

Cricketer KL Rahul marked Athiya Shetty’s first Mother’s Day with an emotional message that offered a rare glimpse into their life as new parents. On Sunday, the cricketer shared a touching tribute on Instagram, acknowledging Athiya’s strength and grace in navigating early motherhood.

Posting a photo of Athiya cradling their newborn daughter Evaraah, Rahul wrote, “Watching you take on motherhood with so much strength, grace and patience has made me fall in love with u even more.”

He added, “Happy 1st Mother’s Day baby. Evaarah is so lucky to have you.”

Athiya responded to the gesture by reposting the story, adding a red heart emoji. The image and message resonated with many followers, offering a subtle yet intimate peek into the couple’s new phase.

The couple, who tied the knot in January 2023 at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala, announced the birth of their daughter earlier this year. In March, Athiya confirmed the arrival of the baby with an illustration of two swans, accompanied by the message: “Blessed with a baby girl.”

In April, on Rahul’s birthday, they introduced their daughter to the world through Instagram. The post featured a monochrome photo of the couple with the newborn and revealed her name—Evaraah. The caption read: “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/????? ~ Gift of God.”

The name "Evaarah," derived from Sanskrit, translates to "Gift of God" and appears to carry deep personal significance for the couple.

In a separate gesture, veteran actor and grandfather Suniel Shetty also joined the celebration. He posted a throwback image of himself holding Athiya as a baby. Alongside the photo, he wrote, “Happy first Mother’s Day @athiyashetty,” adding heart emojis. Athiya replied with a short note: “But still your baby.”

The family has maintained a low profile since Evaraah’s birth, offering only selective glimpses into their personal life. However, Rahul’s recent post marks a rare emotional expression, showing admiration for Athiya’s new role.

The couple had previously announced their pregnancy in November 2024, writing: “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025,” accompanied by baby feet emojis.
