Karan Veer Mehra NOT even considered to play new villain in Don 3: REPORT

Ever since Don 3 was officially announced in 2023 with Ranveer Singh stepping into the iconic role, there has been constant buzz around who will play the antagonist in Farhan Akhtar’s high-stakes action drama. While Kiara Advani was later confirmed as the female lead, the hunt for the right actor to portray the villain continues to keep the rumour mill turning.

Initially, it was speculated that Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda had been approached for the part. However, he reportedly declined the offer, choosing to pass on the opportunity. The next name that gained traction was Vikrant Massey. Industry insiders claimed that he was in serious talks and was likely to take on the role. A source close to the development had confirmed: Vikrant Massey was in advanced talks to take on the negative role opposite Ranveer Singh. However, the deal eventually fell through.

Following Vikrant’s exit, new rumours started making the rounds suggesting that Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra was being considered to play the antagonist. However, a report published by Pinkvilla has now debunked those claims, stating that Karan is not even in contention for any role in the film.

As of now, the makers of Don 3 are still in the process of locking the actor who will take on the pivotal villain’s part. According to sources, the team is searching for a younger face who can add a unique presence to the film—someone with the charisma to match Ranveer’s energy and the screen presence to carry the intensity that the character demands.

Casting is still underway, and the production house is reportedly looking at a mix of names from Bollywood as well as other film industries. With the villain yet to be confirmed, fans can expect more twists in the casting story before the final face-off is revealed.
