Kangana Ranaut has never shied away from speaking her mind. Known for her candid revelations, the outspoken actress has frequently addressed issues like the "Bollywood mafia," alleged lobbying within the industry, and the loss of opportunities due to the insecurities of others. With nearly two decades in the industry, Kangana has built a reputation for both her acting prowess and her fearless honesty.

In a recent interview with India Today, Kangana opened up about one of the lowest phases of her career. She recounted her early days in Mumbai in 2004 when she began working on films like Gangster and Woh Lamhe. Despite receiving praise for her performances, Kangana struggled to find steady work in the industry.

Facing intense criticism and feeling disillusioned with the Bollywood system, Kangana made the difficult decision to leave India. She relocated to the USA, where she bought a house in Calabasas, hired an agent, and even shot a short film. Kangana attributed this move to what she believes is a flawed system in the Indian film industry, which she claims drives away talented individuals.

However, everything changed in 2014 with the release of Queen. The film's success marked a major turning point in Kangana's career, not only transforming her fortunes but also signaling a shift in audience preferences towards more realistic, homegrown stories. This film solidified her status as a leading actress in Bollywood and proved her ability to carry a film on her shoulders.

Her journey began in 2006 with her debut in Gangster, directed by Anurag Basu, a role that won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She continued to impress with intense roles in films like Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro, and Fashion.

Looking ahead, Kangana is set to return to the big screen with her upcoming film Emergency, where she will portray former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is slated for release on September 6, 2024, and is already generating significant buzz.

In the last 10 years she has only given 2 hit films which are Queen and Manikarnika. Why is she still trying? She should leave Bollywood and stick to politics.
