Over time Bollywood actor Jimmy Sheirgill has been quite selective about choosing scripts and projects.
The actor says that he has made only a few rules for himself to choose any project. According to Jimmy Sheirgill, he likes to do roles that are in universal demand, and many families can sit together and watch the content.
He may also be eyeing such content on OTT projects. Sheirgill shares that he tries to choose and pick things that have a strong connection.
Elaborating further to a news portal the actor says if he gets an over-the-top series tomorrow, which is a little mad in terms of comedy, he’d still explore the genre as long as it’s universal and maximum people can watch and relate to it.
When asked how he looks at the nudity and abusive language used in OTT shows to grab eyeballs, the 51-year-old actor says, he’s not comfortable with such scenes, until and unless there is some sense to what is going on – only if his character demands for the same.
He said
“But to just add fizzle to it to capture that kind of audience, voh maamla na filmon mein samajh aaya hai na yahaan (OTT) pe samajh aaya hai.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Jimmy was last seen in an OTT thriller film "Collar Bomb", where he wonderfully essayed the role of a cop. The film also has Asha Negi and Rajshri Deshpande in pivotal roles.
He has also been part of a legal drama titled ‘Your Honour’ alongside Parul Gulati and Pulkit Makol.
