Jigyasa Singh recalls first telecast of her show ‘Thapki,’ as she completes a decade in television

Actress Jigyasa Singh recently marked a significant personal and professional milestone—completing ten years in Mumbai and the Indian television industry. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress shared a reflective note on her journey so far, thanking her supporters and remembering her debut.

In her message, Jigyasa wrote, “Today marks a decade of my journey in Mumbai and in this incredible industry! It all began with the first telecast of Thapki Pyar Ki on 25th May 2015. This date will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of my journey, and to my wonderful fans/fam for keeping Thapki alive even today with your constant love and support.”

Jigyasa became a household name with her portrayal of Thapki, a young woman with a speech impediment, in the show Thapki Pyar Ki, which aired on Colors TV. The series was well-received and ran for over two years, helping her establish a strong footing in the industry.

Over the years, she has appeared in shows like Dev 2, Nazar, and Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, consistently earning praise for her performances. In 2021, she returned to play the lead in Thapki Pyar Ki 2, a sequel to the original show. However, her stint in the second season was cut short due to health concerns.

Now, a decade into her career, Jigyasa is looking back with gratitude and forward with renewed hope. Her journey from a debutante in 2015 to one of the familiar faces in Indian television is a testament to her perseverance and connection with the audience.
