Javed Akhtar confirms Farhan & Shibani's wedding on Feb 21

Lyricist Javed Akhtar has went on to confirm one of the high-profiled weddings that has been in rumors for the longest time now. While we already saw the marriage between Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif was the talk-of-the-town, another one that might set to be too is the future wedding of actors Farhan Akhtar and Shivani Dandekar.

Finally, after a lot of speculation over news about the same, Akhtar's father Javed Akhtar confirmed the same about the big development. It is being said that Akhtar and Dandekar would be doing a registered marriage on Feb 21, followed by hosting an intimate ceremony with family and close friends at senior Akhtar’s family home in Khandala. Senior Akhtar confirmed to Bombay Times saying, “Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain that is being taken care of by the wedding planners.”

He added, “Taking the situation into consideration it is obvious that we cannot host anything on a large scale. So, we are only calling a few people. It will be a very simple affair. Khair abhi tak toh invitations bhi nahi bheje gaye hai.”

He concluded talking about Dandekar saying, “She is a very nice girl. All of us like her very much. The most important thing is that Farhan and she get along very well, which is great.”
