Jasmin Bhasin’s Sikh family gave her only THIS advise upon learning her relationship with Aly Goni

Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin's relationship, which began in 2018 during Khatron Ke Khiladi in Argentina, saw a turning point when Aly confessed his love on Bigg Boss in 2020. While their relationship has thrived, Jasmin recently shared with Siddharth Kannan the initial surprise and reaction of her Sikh family to her interfaith relationship with Aly, who is Muslim.

Jasmin Bhasin revealed that her Sikh family was initially surprised to learn about her relationship through the media. Although her parents are open-minded and offered guidance, they became fully supportive after meeting Aly. “My relationship with Aly came as a surprise to my parents because they got to know about it through news. However, they never had an issue with Aly’s religion", Jasmin said.

Their only advice to me was that I never compromise on the person I am. But after they met Aly, they were very happy for us. We never faced any difficulty in our relationship because neither did I ever care to put any kind of religious pressure on him nor has it come from his side. We respect each other’s religion and give each other space to believe that

Jasmin has faced comparisons to Dipika Kakar for marrying a co-star. However, she stated she hasn't noticed these comparisons and remains unconcerned by them. “I don’t feel anything when compared to others. People keep comparing, it is entertainment for them. These things don’t bother me", she said.

Recently, Aly Goni talked about difficultly in finding home. "I have never faced discrimination in the industry for being Kashmiri. However, I faced it a lot during the house hunt. Aaj bhi hota hai. Jasmin and I were searching for a house, but many people rejected us, saying, ‘Hum Muslims ko ghar nahi dete.’ The majority of them were the old people," he revealed.

Despite widespread acceptance in showbiz, Aly Goni shared that he has faced housing discrimination, a stark reality that persists despite his success. He noted that societal barriers still exist.
