With an array of shows coming in and going out, this year couldn't end on a better note for the makers of the Sushmita Mukherjee and Rajendra Gupta starrer. The show is said to be a mature love story and has been in plans for a while now and it has now brought in another major development.

Actor Ismeet Kohli is all set to make her small screen debut with the show. That's right. Kohli, who has done a few theatre workshops, commercials and a couple of web series will officially be making her debut with this show. She confirmed the same to ETimes TV saying, “All I can say is that it is a progressive and interesting story. At this stage, there is a lot for me to learn as an actor. I have not had any formal training and I will learn a great deal while working with Sushmita Mukherjee ma’am and Rajendra Gupta sir.”

Kohli is best known for her one ad appearance with Mahendra Singh Dhoni. She quit her job as a management consultant in March 2021 and decided to join showbiz. Talking about her journey, she said, “I got into acting about a year ago. I had a corporate job and was working as a management consultant. However, I felt stagnated and joined a theatre workshop to distract myself. In fact, I changed four jobs before switching to acting. It was followed by a few more workshops and I fell in love with what I was doing. Soon, I started auditioning for ads and bagged a few. One thing led to the other and I shot for a few web series as well.”

When asked what did husband and former AIB member, Gursimran Khamba have to say about it, “He has been encouraging and supportive. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have been very confident about the acting space, to begin with. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the story of the show isn’t regressive. Work is work and the medium doesn’t matter. There are people who look down upon comedy as well… they feel that comedians just abuse and do nothing else. You can’t decide your career choices basis on what and how people think."

We wish the actor all the best for this new venture.
