On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, Zee Launched yet another daily soap in an attempt to ace the afternoon TRPs. Launched on the 27th of August 2007, Rakhi- Ek Atoot Rishtey Ki Dor seems to be a story revolving around relationships and social issues, surrounding a brother and sister bond.
A product of Film Farm India Ltd Creations, Rakhi seems to be a story
quite different from others. Rakhi focuses on a relationship of a big
brother (Bhai Raja) and his love for his little sister (Rajnandani).
The story revolves around the unconditional bond between them, and how
after marriage the sister is torn between the love for her brother and
her duty towards her husband.
Talking about the launch Mr. Punit Goenka said, , “Zee
TV had already narrowed the gap with its closest competitor in the
afternoon time band and now with the launch of this show, we are
certain to strengthen ourselves even further in that slot.”Ayub Khan plays the role of Bhai Raja, the loving older brother. Playing Rajnandani is a new comer Nupur Joshi, who previously did a cameo in Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan. Rajnandani's love intereset is played by Sharhaan Singh and Kartik Sabharwal.
Though
Rakhi doesn’t have a strong cast for a Zee show, the different story
line might just get Zee the necessary TRPs and recognition. We wish the
cast and crew the very best for their show.
