Holi Haii!!
The festival of colors, Holi, is celebrated across the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. And interestingly, the festival is celebrated in incredibly different ways with uniqueness by each Indian state with a beautiful blend of different cultures and traditions.
The festival brings out the child in us. So, when it’s that time of the year again, it’s a crime to stay calm. Everyone has made plans as to how they are going to spend their Holi, and that too after two years of the COVID induced lull.
India Forums got in touch with actor Aman Gandhi of Zee TV show ‘Bhagya Lakshmi’ and asked him about his Holi memories and thoughts on the festival. He said, “I just love the festival of Holi. It feels so festive. It takes me back to my childhood days and I feel only Holi can do this for you.. Here, in Mumbai, it’s little different from the way I used to celebrate back at home. Ways of enjoying the festival changes every year (laughs). This year, I will spend the festival with my ‘Bhagya Lakshmi’ cast and crew, so this is what is exciting and different this year. I absolutely adore the company of these people”.
Talking about plans this year, Gandhi added, “I always believe in impromptu and on the spot plans which makes this festival more interesting and fun. You just need to hit the roads and just celebrate”.
When asked about his favorite memories from the festival, Aman said, “I can’t reveal my most favorite memory as it’s related to bhang consumption which I don’t endorse anymore. But as I said, the festival takes me back to my childhood days wherein there used to be pure fun, no stress or elaborated events… Just fun on the roads and parks. Kids used to enjoy a lot before. It’s very different now”.
Aman has a beautiful message for the readers, he said, “We are living a good phase right now if you’ll compare to last few years... COVID is staying low by God’s grace but we still have to remain careful. Secondly, please don’t spoil the fun by playing with balloons and those stupid harmful colours; play organic and enjoy the festival to the most... Happy Holi to all of you guys… please keep watching our show, we love to perform for you guys”.
Here's wishing a very happy Holi to everyone!
