I like Gautam as a friend and I do have a soft corner for him: Manya Singh post her eviction from Bigg Boss 16

Manya Singh who made the nation proud after bagging the titlemmof Miss India runner up sometime back entered the house of India's most loved reality show; Bigg Boss 16 3 weeks back. Although Manya's journey in the show has now come to an end, the actress garnered a lot of headlines during her stint in the show. Post her eviction, we got in an exclusive chat with Manya and she opened up about her journey in the show and answered all our questions. Read on to know all the details.

Manya firstly we'd like to know did your eviction come as a shock to you?

Yes it was. But somewhere in my heart I knew I was going to be evicted. Reason being, the two other contestants who were nominated with me are very popular faces of the entertainment industry. They have played characters which people identify them with. As for me, I have not played any character, so it was obvious I would not recieve as many votes as them.

In the last episode of Weekend ka vaar, you were seen taking a stand for Gori when Karan Johar asked the housemates whether or not she was at fault in her fued with Gori. What exactly were your views behind the same and do you think your stand was right?

Yes, I still stick to my stand. When we say Bigg Boss is like our Parent, we'd obviously go to him to complain about something that is bothering us, which is what Gori ji did when she was complaining  to him about Archana. However, Archana too went below the belt and went ahead to pass some derogatory remarks on Gori ji which were absolutely wrong. Talking about the fall out, I myself witnessed Archana getting physical with Gori ji, not once but twice. People who were with us during the fall out flipped when Karan Johar asked them about their views on the fight. However, I strongly believed Gori ji was not wrong hence I decided to stick to my stand.

Manya, what came across outside to us as viewers was that Archana was being bullied by the entire house. However, since you have witnessed the entire situation first hand, tell us your views on the same?

Archana bullied? Not possible at all. Archana is funny for 5 minutes and the 6th minute, she goes below the belt. The kind of comments she passes in arguements and fights are so bad that you'd want to close your ears. I don't know why people are unable to see it. Or maybe, this side of hers is not being showed to the audience. But let me tell you, Archana can never be bullied. 

Your fall out with Srijita where in you commented on her being a tv actress also created a lot of headlines outside the house. Quite a few tv actors too came ahead and expressed their disappointment on the same. Now when you look back on that situation, what do you think of it? Do you think you were wrong?

(Chuckles) Honestly, I do not regret on saying that to Srijita. Reason being, a lot of things were said to me by Srijitatoo. She went ahead to question my background and addressed me with terms like 'Lower middle class,' 'What is your level' 'Look at your face' and a lot more statements. She used abusive language too. Even after all this, I was very respectful and then I told her that if I have not done anything in my life, she too is just a Tv actor. People just want to see and talk about one sided things. Had they seen my side of the story too, they would have understood why did I say whatever I said at that point of time.

Manya you expressed your liking towards Gautam Vig to Nimrit and also told her that Soundarya is not the right person for Gautam. What made you say this?

I know Soundarya from outside the show and I can tell this to you that whatever she is trying to potray in the show she is definitely faking it. They think that if they fake a love angle, they can go ahead in the game. Talking about Gautam, he is a very strong contender. I like Gautam as a friend and I do have a soft corner for him. I have never wanted him to be emotionally hurt. Which is why I confided into Nimrit. Because somewhere I knew that if I went ahead to tell this to Gautam he could think that I am jealous of Soundarya.

Tina and Shalin's growing proximity in the show too has been garnering a lot of attention outside the house. Since you have witnessed it first hand, what are your views on their love angle?

I genuinely feel it is for the game and whatever they are trying to show is definitely not genuine.

Manya a lot of girls have identified with your overall journey. And you have  always mentioned that you are representing all the girls of India. However, when you used some derogatory words for other female contestants, the audience was not very pleased. Anything you'd like to say on this?

I will not give any clarification on whatever words I have used. Talking about Archana, she was very understanding when Nimrit told her that she is unwell. However, when I said the same she had a problem. To be honest, my upbringing has not been such where in I choose words before saying. In every situation in the show, I was just being myself. Everyone has a different way of expressing anger. If abusive words were used for me, I have just retaliated.
